I took on my fiancee's much needed Altima today. After a wash, claying I went with the ultimate compound for the first round.. Tomorrow it will see some M205 or #7 (havent decided yet) then a coat of wax..
looks good M205 with take the haze out. Remember with m205 it dose not break down so do a test spot to see how many pass you will need get the gloss you want.
Did you use a finishing polish (205, Ultimate Polish) after UC? UC on black will leave a haze and should be refined with a finishing polish. Pictures do look good.
Thanks guys. Yes I used M205 and then went to the yellow #26 (didnt have much left so I wanted to get rid of the bottle; which I did). Here are the final pics from earlier today. Ignore the lint in the last pic. Didnt realize it was on there until after I took the shot.
Looks awesome, how did you get the bird etchings out? They etch at different rates... so regular 6-8 section passes usually doesn't take out the deep ones.
Thanks. I was able to remove the small etching in the first pic by using the UC with a terry towel by hand and then went back with UC again on a foam pad on the da. I guess I got lucky.. It was the only spot on the car that was etched. The front bumper is definitely not perfect. Its has some road rash since before we got it in 2012.. All Ive been able to do is keep it touched up and waxed. It has over 86K on the odo. Not great and not terrible but its driven quiet a bit and it sits outside year round.
