2010 Nissan Maxima Exhaust tips

I have some rust problems with my 2010 nissan maxima exhaust tips. Anyone have any suggests on what to protect my tips with so this does not happen again? I think I used som Collinite on them... not sure though. ..

Anyway, they entire exhaust is being replaced by Nissan. Both of them back to the cat.

The best I can say is to use either Never Dull or an metal polish on it on a frequent basis. Unfortunately, due to the heat most waxes/sealants do not last on the tips.

I would coat the new ones with a wheel sealant of your choice. I use CG wheel gaurd.

Collinite, but that looks like the chrome itself has chipped off, and no sealant will prevent that. Afaik at least.

It's suppose to be black.. so the powder coat is coming off or whatever it is.. Maybe I will try the wheel sealant.

If the tips are not coated use a good metal polish and some quad 0 steel wool to clean. Then coat with Optiseal.
