This weekend i had the pleasure of Detailing one of my all time favourite cars. The Audi S4. Boasting with a 3.0L V6 Supercharged motor and Quattro drive this thing is a menace to behold and even bigger menace on the streets.
The owner arrived and wasnt too much concerned with anything else except the motor. He said that he bought a cleaner from the garage a while back and wanted to clean the motor but what he didnt realise is that the cleaner also had a wax in it so the moment it dried on the motor it made white spots all over and the more he tried to remove them the more despondant he got so he just gave up, so that was to be my main area of focus.
First up the car on arrival:

First up was the motor and as you can see it was riddled with the white waxy spots

I tackled the motor with Cyclo APC mixed 3 to 1 and various sizes Valet Pro brushes and after cleaning gently sprayed the motr with my Karcher from a distance on mist and the dried all areas first with compressed air and then also with a micro fiber cloth.
The Motor was then dressed with Shield Sheen and left to sit before wiping any excess a few hours later.

The Bonnet area wasnt as dirtry and i forgot to take a pic but was cleaned and protected Mezerna 3 in 1

Next up was the tailpieces . These were first given a clean with apc mixed 3 to 1 and then further cleaned and polished with auto glym metal polish and protected with Meguires NXT

Then next area of concern was the headlights. They were not too bad so i just gave them a polish first with a purple wool pad and then with an orange pad with the flex 3401 and some FG 400

Then i moved on to the interior which was worse for wear and i was a bit sceptic of the suede.
The car was first vacuumed with a vacuum cleaner and then all leather areas wiped with glossworx leather cleaner.
I then moved on to clean the suede portions with a Karcher Steam cleaner, and a lot of micro fiberfiber cloths and Cyclo APC Mixed 20:1
The suede was lightly sprayed with steam to moisten the portion and get the leather pores to open up before wiping it lightly with the micro fiber cloths sprayed with the APC and the left to dry after the pile was brushed with a meduim bristle brush to get the pile to stand up. The carpets were then cleaned with Auto Glym Interior shampoo.

After all This was done i moved on to the exterior. First rinsed the car with my Karcher K7 and then sprayed with a snow foam mixture from Cyclo, Car Chem and some Valet Pro Citrus Pre wash.

This was then lefft to dwell for about 20 min and then rinsed before giving it a decent 2BM wash and then dried with waffle weave Microfiber towels.
The car was then decontaminated with Valet Pro Dragons Breath and sprayed clean followed with Crazy detailer clay mitts which works a charm
Some bleading Pics

It was getting dark so before retiring for the night i snapped a few defect pics

The next morning the car was given a quick wipe down with gyeon prep and then it was on to the polish work. A test spot was conducted on the bonnet and i settled on the orange hybrid pads and the FG 400.
The Bonnet averaged 324 Microns as well as above the rear wheel below the gas cap so i suspect it had been re sprayed in those areas but for the rest of the car it avaraged 139microns.
Test Spot on bonnet:

This combo was then carried out on the rest of the car before going over it with a Black pad and SF 4000.
The B Pillars were also corrected with a small 4" orange pad and my cyclo DA

LSP of choice was Fusso King of Gloss white.
For the tyres i used Gyeon Tyre
Some pics when i finished:

AND My favourite pic just before the owner collected late Saturday Afternoon:

All in all it took me 18 Hours.
