This vehicle is on it's second owner and came to me in what appears to be a typical 7yr old vehicle condition. It has been "cleaned" or detailed before as there is a detailing shop sticker on the drivers door from 2013. That however was previous to the current owner who has had it for 3yrs. In all it has low 60k miles on it so it was certainly young in terms of miles. It's also pretty clear that it was not used much to haul more than just a driver as the passenger and rear seating is in great shape.
This owner came to me from the Dayton area as a referral from another customer. The owner was looking to knock a few years off it's appearance and to clean up the interior while he is away on some travels.
We deciding on my Option #2 which targets 75%+ correction and to apply a 3 step ceramic coating it for it's super hydrophobic properties and low maintenance going forward. Here I decided to use Essence as the final polish, CarPro CQUK and Gliss as the top coat. We also have Ceramic coating on all glass surfaces and the wheels. Lastly, he also went with my Option 1 Basic Interior Clean up package. The great news is with just a wee-bit more effort, I got it to turn out about 95%+ corrected
Not finished yet as I have the final layer of Skin to apply later tonight.
The color is really cool. It's a Dark Burgundy/Cherry Metallic that looks black until the sunlight hits is. Then the brown/copper colored flake comes out and the dark cherry color pops through too. Hopefully mother nature cooperates with some late day sun today. Until then, here are some preliminary pics.
Before: Hammered with swirls and hard water spots keeping it from coming alive
AFTER: Likely won't show up in pics but I've yet to still apply SKIN in these photos.
