Lady dropped of her new Avalon today, she wanted "the new car look". I was confused until my wife reminded me that I polished her daughter's new Civic a couple of months back...and it looks better than the new Avalon.
Today I polished, took out some scratches, and waxed. Tomorrow I'll do the wheels & interior.

The process: ONR, Pinnacle clay, KAIO (w/PC 7242XP on a maroon hydro pad), Mother's Reflection wax & top coat (put on by hand using CCS Red wax/sealant applicator). On the scratches I tried both Meguiar's & 3M, both worked well. There was a part around the grill that I had to use Meguiar's 105, by hand on a microfiber towel, to get off.

Looks great SATracker. She going be very happy to see the car all detailed. Did you just use Swirl X to polish the whole car?

Thanks man. I used KAIO on the whole car followed by Reflection twins. Some guys don't like KAIO but I like the look & feel it gives to the paint. I used the scratch removers only in a couple of spots because that's all that was needed. I don't know how to put it into words, the best I can say is, When I wiped the car down w/ONR, the paint seemed stressed. It just didn't feel right when I dried it off. The clay helped, the KAIO was awesome, and the Reflections really made it, "pop". (No real reason why I used Reflections. I have it, liked the results in the past, thought- why not?) It's pretty overcast in San Antonio so the pictures are somewhat muted. The car really looks nice and feels incredible. Tomorrow I'm taking off the wheels to give a thorough cleaning and waxing. Well, it's not called a wax, it's called a paste so I guess I'll be paste-ing it. Sounds weird. But thanks man.

Finished. Here are the final pictures. I saw a post by Anthony Orosco in which showed that he wiped down the front fender wells of a Porsche, so I thought on this Avalon- what the heck.

It DEFINITELY has the new car look now. Great job! Who knew that a car just a few months old (or less) could still be improved.
