2012 Acura TSX SE

Finally got a chance to clean her up and take some good photos. From the dealer showroom, she still had some slight marring. Esp the hood. For some reason, whether it be customers, or the dealers "cleaning" the car, the hood seems to always get the brunt of ignorant care, resulting in marring galore.

So, so far, I clayed the entire car (left over sticky crud from factory stickers), and I just used the PC to correct the hood, bumper, and fenders using orange and gray pads, with Power Finish and Super Finish. I have to do the rest of the car yet, but this is good for now. I wanted to prepare the car for clear bra-ing next week, so I wanted the hood, fender, and bumpers corrected. The rest of the car is not as bad, still some. I will correct at a later point. For now, she just got a good wash and some minor correction.

For this photoshoot, Tori is wearing Jetseal and 50/50 - intense flake pop. First set of photos are HDR, 2nd set are unedited. Enjoy.

Someone has a quote on here that says "black is a full time job." This time of year, with the pollen, it's almost impossible to keep clean. I just deal with the dirt and pollen until I get to my fiancées house on the weekends. I DON'T bother with quick detailers. I feel they aren't all that safe to use. Unfortunately I don't have any other advice to give other than wash it constantly lol.

I used plasti dip, you can get them locally at HD or Lowes.

Nice looking car there. I was a huge fan of the last generation of TL/TSX and glad to see they cleaned up the 2012s a little. Very nice color too, looks like a pearlish silver.

Thx gilles... Yes, the 2009+ are the shape I fell in love with. It is indeed a pearl silver. It's called silver moon.

Looks great! Love the flake pop. I just used Jetseal for the first time on my 2009 Fusion, and I am impressed so far.
Can't decide whether to top it with Fusion or DoDo Diamond White.

Hmmm for white I'd go with 5050 or ssII. Never tried dodo diamond.

Thank you! Camera is a big part...dslr is miles away from point and shoots. The hdrs were blended and edited for sure. But I also posted the non edited pics... They look great on their own and I usually do it that way if I'm showing correction. For artistic, I go hdr.

But the key to good shots is lighting, lighting, and lighting then the framing, and of course knowing what f stop and shutter speed to give you the best exposure.

I really like the TSX! Yours looks great. Silver is THE best color, IMO. However, it's so very hard to add depth!!!

Great car. I love my 2011 Acura TL. Acura is a good deal for the money.
