A friend has a black camery and its parked in apartment parking garage under a leaking pool.
Now it has a stalagmites from dripping pool watter.
He will drop off the car to me on Monday and I will try
Carpro watter spot remover.
My question. Do you think the paint under the build up will be soft. I want to polish the area thanks..

Chlorine pool water. Sounds tough man, how bad is it. Some pics would help you out there. My guess is that if it's been there a LONG time, to the point where a stalagmite has formed on the ceiling above his car, then it would be permanently etched into the paint and clear coat.

It's like a stalagmite forming on the car and it's on the rear quarter panel
I can rub my fingers over it and it's a little mountain. Seems like the drip point has the highest accumulated stuff and their is a run off line but it's all on vertical panels. I will try and post pic.

My thoughts are the paint shouldn't be any softer than it was due to the build-up of the chemicals and minerals in the water.

Just approach as normal after you remove the build-up.

Time for someone to put a patch in the pool!

:)
