Brand new detail by Thomas Dekany.

Polish: Menzerna PO85RD
Body/Wheels: Opti-Coat 2
Tires: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard

Still need to 303 the inside and use Leather Masters or Leather magic.

Question: what is your favorite quick detailer to use post Opti-Coat 2?

One of the fun elements of the work was playing with a new Festool RO150 on another car.

BTW, Thomas used Zaino Z-6 on the windows. Anyone else do that? I thought it was crazy, but I trust the guy :).

Thomas does amazing work!!!

Your ride looks awesome btw!

I have used both Speed Shine and Optimums Instant Detailer over opti-coat and both worked well. The instant detailer added to the visual properties of of opti-coat (shine shine and more shine), whereas, speed shine darkened the paint and tried to give opti-coat some glow.

I experienced no streaking with either product, sprayed directly on the panel and then wiped off. Because I heard there could be streaking problems, I first used the dry side of my application towel to remove excess and then followed up with a second towel as an extra precaution. But I haven't noticed any streaks yet, even when not using the second towel.

Turned out great. I own Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus but I personally don't think it brings much of a gloss to the tires and trims. Now I use Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel now and the tires and trim turn out wonderful. Sometimes I even out the Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus on top of the Wolfgang.

This is a picture of the a tire with the Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel on it:

You don't only have to use the Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel on the tires. I have tested it out on the black trims and the results were wonderful.

Does the Wolfgang trim gel run onto paint when it rains? I had Chemical Guys forever gel on my Camaro's trim and it looked real good...until it rained and it was all over my paint. :-)

That looks awesome! It rains here in Portland a lot...so my #1 criteria was resistance to rain. How does the black diamond do in the rain? Thanks, -mark

Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel actually doesn't run off once it rains. This Ford 150 I did (in the pictures above) was done about a month ago. I have gotten a lot of rain here in Florida, and the tire and trim still looks new. It's not as shiny as when you first put it on, but it has a deep dark finish, and I just put the Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus on the tires and trim to bring back that glossy look. The tires and trim were in horrible condition before I started, and the difference now is outstanding. Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel is a great product.

I also used some beneath the hood then went over it with Spray Way Auto Care Instant Shine.

It doesn't look as shiny now, but its dark. I go back over it with the Spray Way Auto Care Instant Shine and it looks just like this once again.

Nice work Mark!!

Favorite "QD" for OC? I vote diluted c2, diluted permanon platinum, or diluted CarPro Reload.

The whole point of using UTTG was that it's supposedly good in the rain.

UTTG isn't holding up -- today it was basically gone. I was a bit disappointed with that stuff. We did take the car through it's first touchless carwash today...and ordered the Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale -- we'll try a few quick detailers to see which is best.

The OC-2 is holding up well. Car still has a nice shine. Lots of leaf mud all over the wheels and tire wells today.
