2012 Camaro Prices

What makes you think you NEED a supercharger to get those numbers? With deep enough pockets almost any number can be achieved by a naturally aspirated engine ;)

Yea if you bore it out and stroke it and stuff but a supercharger is way easier and cheaper

But I've still never seen a 5.0 run a 8 second without a supercharger. That thing must have an engine swap or a complete rebuild

Im just saying that im not that all impressed that being a 6.2 and a blower... Its still running same numbers than the 5.0 with a blower.

I wish they would release the pricing for the ZL1's already. Once I can talk my wife into it I will have one. Have a race track right down the street from me, tuesday nights would be a blast. Might cost me a divorce though

I really dig both the Camaro and the new Mustang GT's and 5.0s.. I must admit though I would choose a 5.0 out the door over a Camaro SS.

I prefer the smaller size and looks. Other than that, if someone wanted to give me an SS I sure wouldn't be complaining!

The cars both have their positives and negatives. It just a war between Ford and Chevy that will never have a winner because when one brings something new out, the other brings something better out.

the potential of the new modular 5.0 is pretty much endless. there is a decent amount of power left with just a simple tune on the computer but the the head / cam setup on them is meant to make power. i recently saw a write up on a 351 kit which is soon to be available while using the STOCK heads is capable of 2000 hp in race form (power adder obviously) and 8000 rpms and all while using the stock block. (sleeved of course)

take this for what its worth. my 93 has a after market block, heads, cam, intake and a large cfm blower. car makes north of 700 on pump gas and methanol / water injection. a new 2011 5.0 with just a blower and the obvious fuel upgrades are making that. makes me want to off-load mine and just buy a new one with a warranty :)

either way i am glad the camaro is back. its a great time to be a car guy Im the MAN

I wouldn't be unhappy if given the chance that someone gave me a SS or a 5.0. I just find the styling of the 2011 Mustang a big odd in the rear. It sculpts up and gets narrow. Like a dog when it stretches its front legs and has its butt in the air. And the Camaro is strange to me after the C pillar. Everything about it falls flat and odd. can never get over it.

Isn't GM bankrupt....or at least should be!!!

You get a lot more for your money with the Mustang!
