Finally stepping up my game and scheduling some paint corrections and details. This is an addicting hobby and after a few recommendations from friends and family, I've picked out a name and started scheduling actual customers. Here is one of my first non-family or personal vehicles, although it was a close friend of mine. He purchased this 2012 Tahoe for his wife, with very low mileage and asked me to "clean it up" for him. I obliged.

He dropped it off very late on a Friday evening and the original plan was that I would get it for a full weekend. Plans changed, of course, so I had to change my setup. It still turned out great and I moved quicker than I anticipated so it all worked out.

Tools/Products used:
2BM w/ CG Citrus Wash and Gloss w/ AllClean+ to remove any LSP
Wheels - Griots Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner
Tires/Trim - AllClean+ for tires, fender liners, and side steps
Clay/Decon - Nanoskin wash mitt (fine grade)
Machine - Flex 3401 w/ LC backing plate
Compound - FG400
Pads - LC Hybrid Orange and Blue
LSP - WGDGPS applied by hand w/ Meguiars yellow applicator
Wheels LSP - Reload
Tire dressing - CG G6 Hypercoat
Fender liner - CG Bare Bones

No pre-wash or decon' pictures. I received this way after dark and was up to the task of washing, decon, drying and taping all the night before starting. The thing was pretty filthy to begin with!!

Here are all of the before pictures right before I started. Did a quick walk-around, took notes and photos of the heavily damaged areas that needed extra attention.

Some cat or animal scratches on the hood from the previous owner.

And then we were off. After testing out a few options and test areas, I began with my process. A few areas still required some extra attention, but for the most part my FG400+orange hybrid knocked this thing out and left it with a beautiful finish. Never stops amazing me!

Thanks for looking!! Any comments or criticism is welcome.

Nice one-step

What was your technique the FG400?

Nice work. Is this the tinted clear coat? If so did you find it easy to correct? What products did you test before deciding on FG400? IIRC I used mostly WGTSR/Menz-SIP and got really good correction.
Hope you educated the client on proper maintenance and not to use any automatic car washes.

Lightly prepped the pad via FG400. 6-8 sections passes at speed 4.5 on Flex, then bumped it down to 3.5 with almost no pressure on the last 2 passes. Finishes great and removes with ease.

Yes, it is the tinted clearcoat. I found it softer than any GM I've ever corrected, still wasn't soft by any means.

SF4000 on a white Hybrid pad - cleaned up some but many swirls and RIDS remained.

M205 on a white Hybrid pad - cleaned up more but I didn't like the way it finished down.

M205 on a blue Hybrid pad - cleaned up about the same as FG400 but I just wasn't happy with the finish.

That's why I went with FG400. It cleaned up nearly 80% of defects and finished down without me having to go back with a finishing polish. It cut and finished well on the rear quarters and rear doors where there were less defects with a blue Hybrid pad. But the hood, front fenders, and front doors needed everything I could do to remove most of the defects, so I switched to an orange Hybrid.

Excellent work cutting through those defects and finishing up LSP ready with your machine setup. Well done.

Thanks for sharing Corey.

Wow you sure can make a two year old truck feel brand new.....excellent work adding pop to that red sugar crystal paintwork
