The owner of this car was very excited to have it done and also very picky. The things he was showing me on the car, I knew it would have to be perfect. Plus, he also brought me his winter wheels to coat as well. Lots of work!
How particular is he? Check out how he stores his winter wheels. Makes mine piled up in the basement with a sheet over them seem crude!

Let's see the condition of the car:

The summer wheels were getting removed and coated as well (including calipers).

Check out his licence plate!!

If you look closely at this pic, you'll see a spot on the trunk lid which he tried to compound out himself. Luckily there was enough paint for me to tend to that later.

There were also quite a few chips to be filled:

There was also this mark in the paint behind the passenger door which he said something had dripped on and ran down the paint. It almost looked like a crease in the paint, but he insisted it was something that had dripped on there. There were actually 2 of the marks. Even with aggressive compounding, I could not correct that. I still don't believe I wasn't seeing something under the paint. What's it look like to you?

First up was the wheels. Here's what one barrel looked like:

The barrels were cleaned with Tarminator followed by Zep Citrus. The faces were cleaned with Zep Citrus and a demoted wash mitt using Megs HW. The tires were cleaned with Zep 505 and the wells with LATA. Here's that same wheel after being cleaned:

The car was washed with Megs HW and then a second time for decontamination using IronX paste. It was brought inside and clayed with my CarPro clay towel. After that, I found some more chips:

There might not have been big, but there was a lot of them!
My first exercise was to clean and coat the winter wheels with CQF. Here is a before shot of the face and barrel. I forgot to shoot afters of it...duh!!

Next step was to remove the summer wheels, clean and coat them and coat the calipers. I put the DG beta trim dressing on the plastic trim. Here is a poor shot of the caliper and the well:

The car was compounded with M105 + Flex 3401 + TB black wool followed by M205 + Rupes 21 + white B/S. I had the air conditioning going in the garage while doing this car as it was stinking hot outside. My Flex was getting really warm as I was working it hard so I got the idea to place it in front of the A/C when I was not using it so let it cool down. That worked like a champ! The paint, glass as well as head and tail lights were all given a double coat of CQF. The windshield got treated to Forte. The trim was done with DLux and the tires were shot with OB from my air gun @ 100%. The coating was baked with my IR light:

It was early evening when I finished and I didn't think I had enough light outside to get some decent shots, so I shot some inside. Turns out that I did if I went down the street to our mail drop off area which I did as well.

LED light showing the very cool colour!

Thanks for enduring all the pics! 23 hours went into the car and 8 wheels. Whew!! Comments appreciated.
