My first real customer. I did this for a friend and cut her a deal so I could use her car for before and after images, of course I ran out of time and skimped on the pictures a little.

The car is only about a year old and she doesn't wash it at all (no swirl omatic's at least) so the paint was in pretty decent condition although we weren't doing any correction anyway. I ended up doing a full interior and exterior with BF Total Polish & Seal.

Inside Before:

Mostly just dirt everywhere, no major stains really.

Tires where pretty bad.

Actually, looks half clean here. Wasn't the most dramatic before and afters.

Bugs and Waterspots everywhere.

First application of Megs APC+. I need to get some APC for the foaming, you go through the APC+ quick on tires since it won't stick.

Interior mostly finished, I called it a night at this point. Also found out night time work is best reserved for working on the paint. It's hard to see the interior and I spent more time than I would have liked cleaning stuff up the next morning.

I went at it the next morning with a rinseless and clayed as needed.

Testing BF TPnS with orange flat pad. Not a huge difference but it did darken the paint a bit and took out some minor scratches.

One of the better interior shots I got. Unfortunately I forgot to get afters of the awful mats and door sills.

I think I'll end up doing maintenance washes for her as well so I'll get better interior shots next time she brings it by. In all I spent 8 hours on the car. I had to split it between 2 days because of scheduling and since kids wanted to help it took a little longer than expected. I think I could knock this out in 6-7 hours so I'm happy with that for now.

Man, that car was headed into some trouble in only one year. =( Looks great now. Hopefully they keep it looking that way.

I'm a fan of the Golf TDI myself and i'm glad to see you had it looking in much better condition than it was within it's first year. Looks great now.

Looks pretty good! Nice job

Much appreciated! I had fun and the look and reaction from the owner may have been enough to have me hooked. :xyxthumbs:

Thank you! And I hope so too, it's a great little car. She's a college girl with other priorities so I made sure to tell her I'd do maintenance washes for her if she'd throw me a $20 from time to time to cover cost. I've watched her grow up since she was 13, almost 10 years now, so there's now way I could actually charge her for a 30 minute wash.

Thanks, John! I'm a bigger fan now than I was before. It looks good inside but I just assumed it was a little banger made only for the gas mileage. I was wrong, the TDI with a stick shift is FUN! I hadn't had a chance to really appreciate the interior either. VW doesn't seem to hold much back the layout and look of everything was superb. I could see a VW in my driveway.
