So after finding out my 2007 Civic Si actually had frame damage from a previous accident I decided to trade it in for something else. I ended up settling on a base model 2012 Mustang with a manual transmission. I have to say from when I test drove it I LOVE IT.

Here's a picture of the two next to each other. I pick up the 'stang tomorrow. I also specifically asked that they not detail it. I'm also especially excited to work with Ford paint! Tired of the soft Honda crap! :)

Ahhh Nothing like a new ride. Black is a hell of a color when its nicely detailed. It is also a PITA... :buffing:

Yeah but I figure it'll be free advertising during the summer for my detailing business I'm starting up.

Congrats on the new ride!

Welcome to your new full job! :D

Congratulations on your impending new ride. I actually love the new Mustang V6 mated with a manual (over 300hp and great hwy mileage). I think it is a perfect combination.

Hahaha it's definitely not a new job. The Civic Si I'm replacing is also black. The Ford just won't have clearcoat that scratches if a feather touches it! :xyxthumbs:

Congratulations on your new mustang. Driving will be fun again. Yes, black is a demanding color but sooo nice when well maintained.

Don't get me wrong my Civic Si was fun especially after installing aftermarket motor mounts and a short shifter but I'm done with Honda after the crap I've gone through with them.

Congrats and you picked the right car.:xyxthumbs:

You're going to love that V6.

Can you say "torque"? That new 5.0 has unreal power.
Unfortunately I'm not getting the 5.0. Not in my budget at this point. I'm looking forward to the nice fuel economy on the V6 though. The power it has is quite impressive for how economical it is! Apparently it'll do 0-60 in a second less than the Civic Si it's replacing so I'm all for that!! :D

Any simple mods planned for your new stang in the future?

Like a tune and exhaust?

First thing I'll be doing is getting the rear window tinted 20%. I'm really considering getting the Borla S-Type cat back exhaust at some point but I need to save my pennies for that. I'll also have to get snow tires next year. I'm going to try and make it through this winter with just the all seasons on it now and some sandbags in the trunk.

I think the Borla S-type will sound good on there. IMO, Borla has the best sounding set ups for the Mustangs.

This just shows how much fun you can still have in a V6.

Congrats on the Mustang! I'm on my third Mustang. Check out the American Thunders by Flowmaster. I have that and it sounds really nice with my other bolt ons. Beware of the mod bug! :) Can't wait to see it detailed.
