This is the Ashen Gray Metallic 2013 2SS/RS/1LE that a friend brought over and detailed with me.

Looks clean right?

NOPE! It's water spots galore. Not bad water spots, but they are everywhere.

Process was:

1) Clean wheels with OPC 1:9 dilution and various brushes and daytona speed master.

2) Clean tires with Tuf Shine Tire Cleaner.

3) Rinseless wash with Blackfire Wet Diamond Rinseless.

4) Clayed using Fine Grade Speedy Prep Towel and Adam's Quick Detail Spray.

4) Polished with Blackfire SRC Finishing Polish and 3" Griots Garage with Hydrotech Tangerine Polishing Foam.

5) Rinseless wash with Blackfire Wet Diamond Rinseless.

6) 1 coat of Adam's Americana Wax

Looks good! Did you polish and wax the entire car with a 3" polisher?

Surprisingly, there were hardly any scratches, swirls, or anything wrong with the paint from the factory. From any angle with the sun or brinkman light.

It was spot polishing here and there for the most part which is why I chose the 3"

:dblthumb2:

The Camaro looks excellent now!

Is the hood painted flat black or vinyl wrapped?

The metalics on the newer cars is amazing.
(time to debadge it)

Nice to have a helper, this way they're able to see what goes into the whole process of cleaning, not just drive it thru a car wash.

cool pics and awesome car. The 1LE has alot of the ZL1 goodies on it.

Was nice to have a friend detailing over. He knows what goes into it, so nothing to show him, his appreciation for my help was nice enough. :xyxthumbs:

I'm not into the whole debadging thing. I hate when people come up to me and tell me nice mustang. grrr.

looks good!

Thanks!

Agreed!

Oh the humanity!!
That's really sad.................

Curious why you did a rinseless wash instead of a full wash? Time constraints? In the first couple of photos it looks dirty enough to wash it is the only reason I ask. I saw your modified Garry Deal wash video by the way. Nice work.

Best,

Steve

To answer your question with a question, why do a full wash when a rinseless works just as well? And in less time.

Honestly, unless the car I'm washing is slammed with dirt, I'll reach to rinseless. I find myself using the two bucket method less and less everyday. And even if it is slammed with dirt, a quick pressure wash and then rinseless is still faster than two buckets.

I have yet to ever notice any scratching or marring from rinseless so I'm not to worried about that.

I will however go straight to two buckets if there is tar or something. I would hate to get that stuff in my expensive MF towels lol

Thanks for watching the video :)
