Took around 10 hours over 2 days to fix the dealership prep.

Process:

Q&EW
D300.MF pads
205 black pad
HD Cut in some places
IPA wipe
Opti Guard
3D tire shine

Paint/trim/windows/wheels coated.

I had very little space to work this time, so not a huge variety of shots.

The hood had a pretty large scratch, that the dealer's detailer "buffed" out (8-9 microns were removed)

Looks like he was called away after the first step and didn't have time to finish the project :D

Here we are, the car is ready for the cutting stage.

Thanks for checking it out!

Great work Thomas. Dealer and their body shops, I am not surprised. Probably the free curtesy wash and detail that they charge new buyers once they buy the car. JM Lexus down here does that, it amazes me the poor work and poor quality jobs that their so called "detailers"do on brand new cars.

Thank you all for the kind replies.

Just heard from the owner, that the dealer is sending a check to him to cover the cost of the detail.

Last picture there, it was tight one, I can see you struggling to capture there! :P

I used a 7-14mm UWA lens and still getting used to it. Sometimes I forget to watch my body to make sure I am not in the picture. I guess I should have cropped the picture somewhat.:props:

Nice job! I looked at a brand new FR-S at the dealer last weekend. Completely swirled out (even under the clear bra).
It was just terrible.
Really makes you wonder what the dealers (or factory??) are doing to their cars.

Thanks everyone - The manager kept offering me deals, like we will send you work, (which I refused) you can come to the dealership to teach our detail department, we will pay you etc... if I gave them a better price.

My initial quote was 10 - 17 hours, and he kept asking, if I could do it in 10. Turned out to be just over 10.

They made the owner feel like $H.T in the process. I really dislike the dealership mentality. Oh well, nothing new unfortunately.
