I believe Frank is referring to the center caps as hubcaps DC. If they are really hubcaps I'm lost. Maybe chrome caps on alloys??

Not just the center cap but the entire outside face of the wheel is plastic. Looks very much like actual rims from a distance but they are actually plastic. Could be what you said - Chrome plated caps on alloys.

I get it now. Thanks for the explanation. I've never seen those before. Well maybe I have but just thought they were wheels. Wow that is very deceiving for gmc to do that.

Question on carpro waterspot remover, it looks like it's safe to use on non-coated plastic, did you use it on other non-coated panels?

I used it on the trim around the side windows which had plenty of water spots but I wasn't able to take a good picture of it. I sprayed the WSR on a general purpose MF towel and then rubbed it on the trim. Then I sprayed some distilled water on the trim and then dried with a MF towel. I did the same thing with the hubcaps which is pretty much according to the directions for the WSR.

Just an update after about 2 months after detailing my neighbor's GMC Terrain and using PBL Diamond Surface Coating. The owner has been hand washing the vehicle almost weekly and using Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax as the soap. So I couldn't tell you for sure if the beading is coming from the soap or the coating, hopefully from both. Just wanted to share FWIW.

We've been getting rain almost every afternoon here in South FL. Here are a few water beading shots. It was cloudy when I took these pictures so they came out a little dark.

He commented to me that the vehicle is much easier to keep clean now after the coating.
