2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS

An update to the tire issue. My daughter in law has a '13 E limited. She just had all 4 tires replaced due to bubbling issues with 3 of the 4 tires. She doesn't know what brand they were. I don't know the mileage but shes only had it approx 6 months.

Yep, how many 17yro women want to drive a stick. :)

That is rare. Good for her.

My oldest daughter drives a stick and has had a lot of funny situations because of it...like the DMV tester who gave her a passing score simply because she could back out of a parking spot and get across the lot driving a stick, or all the kids she knew at school who had never even seen a car with a stick in it and had no idea what it was!

Good luck with the car and I hope she gets many good miles out of it.

Thank you all again for your comments. I will definitely post pics once it gets it's first detail.

You have tire coverage for the first year or 12K miles (at least) if you purchased it new from dealer; check the manual. I find it interesting their web site doesn't mention tire coverage at all. An oversight maybe? lol

I read that Hankook Optimo's are the poor ones and naturally I have those. No big deal for me though as I knew what I was getting and have an action plan in place for late summer. Once I replace them I will have 4 spares. :-)

I believe you about the "what is a stick shift" situation. Unfortunate, but it's true lol

Thanks for asking. She loves it, plain and simple. So much so that she doesn't really like driving the Acura or VW because they are too big for her (even though she learned on them). She likes the compactness of the vehicle. It's small enough for her to maneuver easily, and with just enough pick-up to keep her satisfied and drive safely. All-in-all, I am extremely pleased with this vehicle.

Coincidentally, I started the first detail yesterday. I finished decom & clay steps in the early evening and overall the paint (midnight black) is in very good condition per my swirl finder. Some areas are near perfect and others have dealer swirls; overall no surprises.

Today we polish and put on an LSP. I am considering XMT #2 with an aio pad in my first test spot and will move to 205 and/or polishing pad from there. I have a few options for an LSP and have not made the decision yet. I will post pics for sure when all is said and done.
