2013 Infiniti G37x Removing Swirls

First; :welcome: to AGO! :D

Holy JESUS!!! How in the world did the paint get THAT bad in 3 weeks?

Looks like you need to change car washes!

Hi cardaddy

With all the snow and salt here in Boston, I have no choice but to use a car wash till it gets above 50 degrees, then it's all hand wash for me :xyxthumbs:

Also thanks for the suggestions...I really appreciate it :props:

However you will need more than one of each of those pads, at least the orange white and black for sure. More like at least 3-4 of each of those 3.

Hi Hellspawn

This is good to know, I will keep this in mind when ordering :dblthumb2:

I would also like to add. Get the 6.5 hybrid pad with the flex. They are buttery smooth and really work well!

I picked up M105 and was going to finish it down with chemical guys v38. I've gotta feedback that this won't have enough bite to remove what m105 will do to the paint. Any confirmation on this? My next plan of action is to pick up some menzerna pf4500 and finish out m105 with that. This is for a 2012 nissan murano with the infamous or notorious rather, hard clear coat sticker. well as far as that hard clear sticker, I saw what one tunnel wash at the dealer (they run them through every week or two until they sell) did to the 'hard clear'. I also saw how easily the m205/tangerine removed swirls as well.

hard clear, pshaw.

Here is one that was just as bad, m100 on orange buff and shine pad, perfect finish on blue finishing pad, both on rupes

Yeah I know what you mean through experience and from what I've read. This whole hard clear things doesn't make much sense to me.

You think 205 is a better follow up than the SF4500?

Boston huh? I thought you guys were used to the cold. ;)

Last time I was there, it was during the "big dig".

I've got a story about a gas station car wash that'll make your skin crawl. Old friend, "Mike" (same mike from my Lexus thread) use do do mobile steam pressure washing. Did gas stations, fast food drive through joints etc. One day he was doing a car wash at a BP station. He had it all blocked off, orange cones and all that. The station would give you a "free" car wash with a fill-up or you could buy it at different levels.

So he runs next door to McD's to take a break and grab a bite. As he stepped out the door of Mickey D's he heard a hellava ruckus at the BP station. Some MORON decided that he was going to use the carwash EVEN THOUGH IT WAS BLOCKED OFF! He moved the orange cones, danger tape (police type tape), went into the thing and all HELL broke loose!

Mike had been running his supply hose from inside the carwash to his truck mounted pressure washer. When the big spinning wheel of scratched death started up IT YANKED THE HOSE OFF THE WALL, as well as away from his rig. There were two 50' hoses now tangled around the overhead 'brush' and spinning wide effing open. It banged the living SNOT out of that guys car, busting the windshield, rear glass, banging holes in the hood and roof, knocking the mirrors off the car.... you name it!!!!!

Mike saw what happened but it wasn't his fault, he had signs up everywhere. In fact... he had pulled the main power breaker "off". But the cashier at the station went out there and turned it back on when he gave the guy the 'token' for the car wash. WHY you ask???? He said he thought the "guy" (Mike) was done, and the customer had a 'free' car wash that he wanted.

It was BAAAAAAD dude! :D I went up there with him the next day and the overhead brush had twisted and torqued so with the hoses wrapped up in it that he couldn't even get his hoses out. They had to REPLACE the entire big wheel/brush thingy.
