2013 Nissan GT-R (Black Edition) - Paint Correction and Cquartz Finest

Thanks so much for your answers - and that's a decent point about the cutting corners... sure, it keeps up with $300,000+ super cars, but at the end of the day, I'd be losing sleep if I knew my car that cost as much as a home, had orange peel, haha.

Thanks again! I will be getting some foam sprayers :)

^You and me both... I'd probably lightly wet sand the entire car just to make it tolerable lol

Great write-up and awesome job!

Gotcha... have never seen someone use "CarPro Finest" before when it is called CQuartz Finest (by CarPro).... but I get it now.

Zach, that looks amazing! I agree 100% with you: especially for black, CQF rules!! Do you have the new version with the white cap? (It cures even faster). Another question: do you ask permission prior to applying the stickers? I don't apply the windshield one w/out asking as I have found several have not wanted it on there. I can understand, I wouldn't want it on there either.
Again, great job on a gorgeous car!!

Well done! I dig it.
Thanks!

Thanks Rich... Corey told me I have the "Version 2" - I cannot remember what color the cap was. I did not ask permission prior to applying the sticker. I told him I was going to put the sticker on the door jam (and he was OK with that), but did not mention the window sticker. I figure if he wants them removed, I can do that no problem. They're so tiny it would not bother me so I did not even think about it. This was my first CQF installation as I am a newly authorized installer, so that will be something for me to consider asking in the future! Thanks!

awesome work. glad to hear another review of Cquatz coatings. I think ill have to give one of there coatings a try here shortly.

Thanks! Keep in mind this is not the consumer CQuartz product that is available on the market. CQuartz Finest is only available to authorized installers. I have no experience with the consumer CQuartz product, but I have read it can be somewhat finicky to work with... again, I have no personal experience with it though.

Thanks!

Your first one? Way to pop your cherry!! LOL. Welcome to an exclusive club! If you start doing more and more of them, you might want to consider picking up an IR light for faster curing. I've got one.

I've already got a couple more lined up, and a few other interested individuals... luckily it is hot enough here during my operating months that I've been told the coating will cure overnight (12-24 hours).

Can you recommend an IR light just for reference?

Thanks!
