2013 Raptor Vinyl decal help!!! (Please)

When I look at the picture below I see two things,

1. A decal or graphic that's dull

2. Something all over the paint below it?

Can someone help me figure this pain in the rear. I would like that decal to reflect the rest of the truck.

Before you try removing it or fixing it yourself, go to the dealer and talk to them. Tell them exactly what you told us about how they waxed the truck for you. I'm guessing you haven't had the truck long, probably a couple weeks?

The longer you wait to bring the issue up with them the more reluctant they will be to resolve the issue.

I agree. Stop "touching" it in any way and take it back to the dealership.

If all goes well you'll get it replaced.

Note: Whatever happens, don't let them buff out your truck or even wash it as what normally happens is you just get more damage.

You have to be stern with whoever you deal with when you let them know you don't want their lot boy washing it or their in-house detailer buffing it out.

If he wants to know why, tell him to Google...

DISO = The Dealership Installed Swirl Option

:)

Well, as suspected the "stealership"'s answer is that they only use soap and water in the maintenance of their trucks to sell, so back to my original question

To follow up on Mike's assessment, the picture you are referring to is a black matte vinyl decal. It is not satin, it is pretty flat by design. I am not sure what you are referring to in your comment about "something all over the paint below". The picture only shows the decal. The decal has matte and shiny parts to mimic a mud splater, but the whole thing is a decal (except for the fender flare you see).

The white residue is what I am struggling with. The flat decal I LIKE!. I've been extremely conservative in my efforts to clean until I got some expert opinions. I've only touched it a couple of time 1) diluted APC with gentle rubbing with microfiber cloth 2) tried to mask it with Ultima Tire and Trim.

Any other things I can try? considering the dealership is feeding me a line....

If the truck is under warranty go back to the dealer and push the issue. Also may want to try another Ford dealership. The decal should definately be covered and somethng that I would agressively push.

Just my 2 cents fort what it is worth
