The Camaro Z/28 and Corvette are great vehicles and I'd love to own a Corvette. Not a fan of the Camaros especially after driving a SS. For those who constantly bring up price and stretch to buy the Camaro Z/28 or Corvette, you should brag. It's money well spent and offers class topping performance. On paper it's a phenomenal vehicle. But it's a two dimensional vehicle. Great performance numbers (grip and acceleration) and good price. However the Porsche 911 Carrera S is the total package. It's consistently one of the best in the industry in terms of acceleration, road holding grip, braking, steering, overall track performance, nvh and road noise, interior quality, build quality, fit and finish, driving dynamics, and just phenomenal performance.
I'm only on my third European (German) vehicle (from Japanese) and as of now there no turning back. Never had any desire to own an AmericN vehicle until the newer Corvettes.
