2014 Fall Dragon Run...10/8 thru 10/12

I will take a lot of pics for sure, someone will have video I'm sure. I'd love to get pics and video from any one of the three 180 degree uphill turns on the Devil's Triangle!

that area is awesome! I go every year for ZdayZ in May.. last year hit the dragon at midnight in the fog after driving from Indianapolis... not the best thing to do at night and tired but... woke up fast, haha!

Driving the Dragon @night is fine, night w/ fog...NOOOOO! We hit some fog up on the Skyway and had to pull over into on of the pulloff areas, just enough room for our 17 car caravan! I've been doing the Dragon @night the past 3 years and will continue to do so because one things for certain, you can always see the cars coming around the mountain and heading your way, sometimes hear em' too!

Man I'm so jealous I'd love to do this in my 09 ram 5.7L hemi. :/

-S&B cai
-87mm throttle body
-American racing long tube headers
-Diablo tuner w/hemi fever custom 91 octane tune
-3000 stall torque converter
-180 deg t-stat
- 55w 4500k retrosolutions HID head lights and fog lights

May not corner well but in a straight line it keeps up with the best of em lol. That sounds like so much fun.

trucks get in the way on the dragon.. no straight ways!

Let's not forget the worst vehicle for the Dragon...Trikes!

We had a guy in our group who brought his S15 2 yrs in a row while his Fiero was being modded. It was lowered, had GTA wheels and was a 5 speed. For what it was it did fairly well, although the brakes took a beating. Actually anything fairly large out there is a handful, had a C5 Z06 behind me years ago and it looked like it took up the entire lane! We also talked to a guy at Deal's Gap with a SL65 AMG, that's the twin turbo V12...SEVEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE! The car had HUGE rear tires too! We saw a guy out there in a 58' Corvette too, 4 wheel drums and all, brave!

Yeah, my husband even said his Sky seemed "big" on the Dragon. He preferred Hell Bender and other more swooping roads to the actual Dragon.

Here's another plug for your trip Klasse. ABSOLUTELY the best road I've ever taken my car on! Truly a "bucket list" item.

If noone was on the road coming the other way I'd drive a school bus, drove a school bus when I first moved to Chicago for a short time and its basically like driving a big car. I got pretty comfortable after a while, so comfortable infact that going around the corners sometimes the traction control light would flash, LOL!

Love the FD's the best, especially in yellow:dblthumb2:

Hopefully you get to make the run Derek, its been waaaaaay too long for you for sure! Plenty of time to break-in the upcoming brakes too, they'll be ready and I'm sure you'll be too!

I can't wait to hear the Abarth tearing through the turns on the Dragon, hope it backfires a lot too!
