I bought this car new right off of the showroom floor. Luckily, there were almost no swirls at all on it, just some marring and very light straight line scratches from people touching it all day.

Here are two before pictures, but the car was already pretty good to begin with:

Since I will be bringing this car to college, there will be no place to really wash it, so a coating it was. I went with CQuartz.

First I removed all of the stickers that I had the dealer leave on, removed all brackets and license plates, then rinsed it down for a wash. Next up was some foam with Iron X soap gel and then a 2 bucket wash with Meguiar's microfiber wash mitt, 2oz of Adam's car shampoo, and 4 oz of CG's All Clean +.

The car was then sprayed with Iron X (it really doesn't smell as bad as people say). There was only a noticeable color change on the hood, lower front bumper, and the rear license plate holder.

I then rinsed and pat the car dry with Adam's Great White and Double Soft towels. Next I pulled it into the garage where I planned on claying it, but this car was smooth. Perhaps the dealer did it when they prepped it for the showroom. I know they do where I work, so it's possible they did here too.

I then attacked the light marring and scratches by hand with Adam's orange hex grip polishing pad and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Polish.

I then sprayed the car down with a 15% IPA solution to prep it for CQuartz. I ended up using 15 mL for 2 coats. The glass was sealed with Adam's Quick Sealant.

Here are the after pictures. Unfortunately, it's been cloudy all day, so really no sun shots.

Still reflects well for how dark it was outside:

Interior got Adam's Total Interior Detailer and CG's Sprayable leather (steering wheel & shift knob).

Tomorrow I plan on putting CG Fabric Guard on the seats:

And here's lane watch. It's cool, but really not necessary.

Now that you said that was a pearl, I guess it is that same burnt orange metallic that I have seen on Fits. Most of your pictures it looks like a non-metallic orange, but in the last few pictures I can see the color, I like it. Nice interior, too--congrats.

You did a very nice job preparing this beautiful car! Don't forget to order some UWW+ to keep it looking it's best in the future.

Kind Regards.

just need a confed flag on the roof.. a dixie horn and 01 on the doors. Then you will be all set. haha But all in all congrats on the new car. I've driven the new civics before and the clutches are amazing on them things

Thanks. There is very little metallic in it though. You can really only see it in direct sunlight. My KIA on the other hand looks like it had a bottle of glitter dumped on top.

Thank you and I already have it :)

Thanks. It is easily one of the best manual transmissions, but the rev hang makes it tricky sometimes.

Once again congratulations on the new ride and very wise and smart thinking to coat that beautiful bright paintwork

There is just something about orange that is awesome on vehicles. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the new ride.

Great job and that's one hot looking ride!!! I love the paint's color!
