These buff marks and scratches were done by the hack detailers at the dealership previous to purchase.

I tried to remove them by using the least aggressive pad and polish but that didn't quite do it so I decided to bust out the 5" Orange pad and the FG400.

After 5 passes I noticed that most of the scuff marks were removed and the rest could easily be removed using a 5" White pad and SF4000.

I still have the sides of the car to do tomorrow but I was able to get most of it done today….

This is the second time I have Ever used a machine polisher and I have to say that I am Very happy with my purchase of the Flex 3401.

Builthatch, I actually asked the dealer that very question and he couldn't give me a definite answer.

I honestly don't know what the hell they are thinking when they decide to do something like this…. I mean, it doesn't look good at all so how can they assume it looks good to others?

Anyways, it took some finesse and a little learning curve…but all in all it is starting to come together.

Thanks for dropping in… I appreciate the kind words!
Take care,
®ick~

Is that a little Husky LED light?

I have the 800w version

I put it on the ground in front of me facing up when correcting vertical panels

Good little light

Hey Kyle, yup, that's the Lowe's version of HD's Husky.

Love that LED

Thanks for stoppin in

right...like why touch it and make it worse when it actually looks better before their excessive "prep". they ruin it and don't realize. crazy.

nice recovery dude.

Nice work Rick! You really transformed that red paint. Those after pictures are stunning.

I see you are doing really well with your new machine/pad/product setup. :props:

Looks like FG400 alone able to turn the 'dull' red car into glossy red. Nice..

That almost looks like rollover brush marks, like they ran it thru a drive thru wash before they delivered it. I wouldn't be surprised either, some of the big dealers have one installed on site.

Either way, nice recovery.

HUMP

Yup, I'm simply loving this combo.

And I am especially loving your technique!

Thanks again Mike for all the help and tips.
