2015 Accord EX-L Coupe, multi-step paint correction
This one was in to fix the "lot rot" and dealer installed holograms. Client purchased this one new back in April, so it had been on the lot a while. He was okay with the general wash induced swirls but he had instructed the dealer NOT to do any detailing on it at all. Obviously they did not listen and as a result they got to pay for part of this detail. This vehicle also belongs to a close friend of another client of mine from Canada who’s Nissan Altima I did a few times in the past. It still blows me away that they would travel so far to have a car polished but I definitely appreciate the business and they are fun to talk with too. :)

Process:

Wash – Meguiar’s Hyper Wash and natural lamb’s wool mitt
Wheels – Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus & various brushes.
Tires - Cleaned with Megs D143 and Tuf-Shine brush. Dressed with Megs Hyper Dressing 3:1
Paint Prep – Griot’s Fast Surface Prep Mitt and Glide as lube
Paint Correction - Griot`s Fast Correct Cream on the G15 with Griot`s MF BOSS pads followed by HD Polish on the G15 with yellow BOSS pads. Tight areas were done with the Rupes Nano.
Glass – Megs D120 and Griot’s PFM glass towels
LSP – Blackfire Wet Diamond

Thanks for looking,

Beautiful work....it always amazes me what dealers do to customers cars and call it 'detailing'

Great job Rasky!!

The original condition is a prime example of a hack's work. Glad the owner brought it to good hands.

Awesome work! Kind of surprising to hear they were able to get the dealer to pay for some of the work. At least they owned up to it

Unbelievable looks great.Did a jag yesterday like that not so severe from a Bodyshop.

Nice save! That is how a car should look when bought from a dealer...

The car looks great! A serious improvement.

Nice save Chad. Looks better than new!

Considering the shape most dealerships deliver their cars, I almost wonder if "like new" should become a negative comment for appearance in detailing circles. Something like, "Ouch. That car looks like you just bought it new from the dealer. Better get it over to a good detailer!"

Good ol' BFWD. That will always have a place on my shelf.

Car looks outstanding.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The dealership actually called me wanting me to do the correction for less, saying they had a guy who could do it locally for them, but I said no way. I understand their point on the matter but at the end of the day my prices are always firm they laid a buffer to the car when they were explicitly told not to...I was just here to fix it. :D

I love the trunk shot with the reflection holy sheet that is some deep Diso! Remarkable work of art sir! Honda's sure do shine up nice.
