It's been a while since I did any vehicles other than our own. I've been wanting to do this Porsche Cayenne for some time and today was the day.

Sorry, no before pictures, I forgot my swirl finder light so I just went to town. I met with the owner a couple weekends ago and inspected it. I did a couple test spots at that time and new I needed something more aggressive. It was "hammered". Major swirls marks and really bad etched water marks. The challenge was this was going to be a one step polish and then direct to LSP. So I needed something that would give me 90% ish correction and be LSP ready.

It has been some time since I used Menzerna FG-400 so I thought I'd give it a go. Let me tell you, this stuff is still amazing. I used my G21 with my 5" BP and Rupes green pads. Used 5 pads total. I did get a little dusting but the results were worth it. It did an amazing job. I used my Rupes Mini with Griots 3" white pads for the tight areas and it worked like a charm. I just love that tool!

Start to finish including washing, dressing wheels, tires, door jams, trim etc. took a little less than 6 hours.

I used some older Blackfire Trim & Tire Protectant I got on bogo some time back for the trim and tires.

Everest MF Towels for LSP removal and Creature Edgeless MF Towels for polish removal.

I have to say, I was amazed at the job FG-400 did, this is a polish everyone should have in their arsenal. It's amazing what you can achieve in a one step correction with this product, especially heavy correction.

Menzerna Fast Gloss Compound, Fast Gloss 400, FG400 compound

The Polish Angel Master Sealant was the icing on the cake so to speak. It added amazing gloss and wetness to the paint. Applied it with my Rupes Mini and a 4" B & S black pad. Let it dry for about an hour and wipe off was a breeze.

Amazing results for a compound (FG400) on black paint. I would think that FG400 would leave a haze and need to be finished down with 3800..shows you what do I know. Nice job and write up.

I usually get some haze with 400, but I use a microfiber pad with it. Did you notice any pad failure with 400 on the Rupes green pads? The Rupes folks say the components of 400 (or any Menz products) don’t play well with their pads.

No pad failure but they were brand new pads. I switched them out frequently. One for hood, one for roof, one for each side and one for good measure :props:

I did get some light dusting but the results were so good I was okay with the trade off.

Thanks. :props:

I did do a quick ipa wipe down and didn't see any hazing, I was kind of expecting that too. I do lighten up pressure on my final passes to get more of a light polishing effect.

Great job! I love FG400, really only compound I use anymore. Just did a blue Audi and the FG400 ate the swirls for lunch.
Once again great job, paint looks awesome

Thank you.

And that FG-400 is about 5 years old which is surprising too.

That’s a good lookin Cayenne. I’m actually blown away you were able to do that beast in under 6 hours. At first in my mind, I was thinking “ok maybe he didn’t hit the roof” but as I read, you did. Props to you!

Good job brother. Looks so glossy and wet! How the hell did you do that in 6 hours lol!

Amazing results! The combo of fg400 and rupes green pad was a killer on that Cayenne! And the finish after Master Sealant is jaw dropping. I have MS at home just waiting to be applyied. Know this week seems like the winter are gonna be letting go and the spring is coming. So a couple of weeks more so the roads clears up and road salt is gone. I'm going to get at it. Hope I get the results you got it's really great looking finish.

And be doing it at 6 hours is very impresive!

Simply incredible work, Mark.

Looks like you could literally dive right into that paint!

Thanks for all the replies and views......:dblthumb2:
