Well here it is, my first ever thread.

I recently purchased some 3D HD products since AG started carrying them. My daughters boyfriend just got this Red 2015 Camaro so I thought I'd test them out on it. The paint was in excellent condition which was a surprise, passed the baggie test too. So basically it was a bonding day with my daughter, her boyfriend and me. They did the interior, wheels and tires as I did the exterior.This was their first time learning about detailing so I kept it simple and basic. He wanted to learn how to properly care for his new beauty.

And as the title says, used 3D HD products, now I know what all you fans of their products have been raving about. WOW!

Foamed with CG Citrus Wash and Gloss.

Interior: CG Silk

Tire: Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Dressing

Exterior: Rupes Duetto and Rupes 75 with LC flat pads.

HD Speed with LC Orange Pad, this stuff is awesome. I couldn't believe how easily removal was of this product.

HD Poxy on my Rupes 75 with blue LC 4" Pad. Let it dry for 45 minutes and wipe off was a breeze.

I have recently used the Menzerna 3-n-1 so this was a great comparison. I think you get a little more correction with the Menzerna but the HD Speed I felt has a longer work time, and was way easier to remove and more shine. It's definitely my favorite all in one now.

He was thrilled, ear to ear grins when we pulled it out into the sun.

So :dblthumb2: for HD Speed and Poxy!!!

Next up the 435 in the back ground.

Thanks, it was red before I started, it was REDDDDDD when I got done. His dad couldn't believe it and he's a surgeon. He paid me a great compliment I will remember forever. He came in and out to kind of observe the process which was cool too. My daughter's first boyfriend, so all you dad's out there know how that goes right. He's a good kid as well.

Yeah the HD obsession has begun! I can't wait to try Adapt and the Polish too, I have them just need the right scenario. I bought the Waterless Wash, it works great, smells great, but for me it's love bug season in Florida, I'm still going to give the edge to Poor Boy's Spray and Wash and since the price is so close I'm sticking with PB. The 3D didn't touch em and the PB removes fresh love bug kill reasonably easily.
 
can't beat the look of a red or black car when it's done right... :props:
 
Great car. Great choice in HD products. I'm HDing my Camaro next weekend.

Great job.

I agree with you on the HD Speed, very easy to remove.
First time I used it I was surprised how well it correct the light defects, the shine it gives you is awesome.

Had Speed is my go to AIO.
 
Nice, very nice. The car glows in the photo. Also nice to see a detail going old school with either a wax or sealant...or in this case a hybred. Just bought Adapt and will be trying it out in the next weekend or two.
 
Car looks fantastic--nice job. Speed followed by Poxy is a great look--especially on red and dark colors. You might want to have him maintain it every few weeks with HD Express spray wax. First time I used it over Poxy on black I was amazed at how it intensified the look of Poxy. Only down side is it's not as easy to use as most spray waxes--it's a thick spray and doesn't spread well with a MF--I spread it with a B&S red foam hand applicator then immediately buff off with a MF, but it's well worth the effort.
 
Thanks guys and appreciate the advice on HD Express, I bought a gallon of it at the same time on the last sale and hadn't tried it yet so I'll be sure to give him some to uses. I appreciate all the great comments from all you fellow detailers.
