Oh this wasn't accomplished in a single day lol. This was sprawled out over a few days.
 
Too bad you had to sand those few areas.

Spot sanding creates a smooth spot in a sea of surrounding paint texture that can be very disconcerting... Especially on black. It's a tough call sometimes whether to live with a minor scratch or sand it out.

Personally, in more cases than not, I'd live with the scratch rather than the smooth spot.

Nice work nonetheless.

I totally agree with you on that! This client was more concerned about the appearance of scratches and swirls. The car is for his 17yr old son. I'm sure it will be a swirled mess before long lol.

Never considered this. Obvious now that you wrote it. Thanks for mentioning it. Reading here is like getting a degree in detailing...
