This is a recent detail of a modified 2015 Chevrolet Camaro in Ashen Grey Metallic. The modificationS include a JWT Intake, Whipple Supercharger, air ride suspension, and a Borla exhaust. The detail took place over the course of two days and I had the opportunity to try out some new products during the service. The first is the new Cquartz UK 3.0 and Blackfire's Multi-Surface dressing (review to come). The detail included a complete interior/exterior detail including a one step correction, coating application, and detail of the engine bay.

Products Used:

Rupes 21
Griots PC
Porter Cable with 4 inch pad
Rupes Ibrid with yellow pad
MCcullugh Steamer
Iron X
Sonax Wheel Cleaner
Cquartz UK 3.0
Reload
Optimum Power Clean 3:1
Blackfire Mult-Surface Dressing (1:1 on tires and 4:1 on interior, engine bay, and exterior trim)

For those of you who have not tried the new Cquartz 3.0 it is a very nice product compared to the standard UK. The only real difference is that it flashes VERY FAST. The coating was applied in my garage with temps about 71 degrees and 60% humidity. It was literally wipe on an wipe off after the coating was applied because it was flashing so fast. The longer I waited the harder it was to remove. The good news is that the gloss and reflectivity of the finish was outstanding. The reflections were pretty impressive for a grey metallic. In the walk around video you can see how reflective it is by seeing my 1967 Nova in the door.

Great work! VERY glossy! That's a beast of a build on that Camaro! Should run well with that Whipple...

Nice job, Pat! I'm a little embarrassed to ask...what are those compressors/tank in the trunk...I can't figure it out even with googling the labels...:surrender:

Outstanding! So you liked the CQUK 3.0? I'm assuming due to the flash speed, one must work in small sections. Any issues with high spots?

I did like it but you had to be on your game if it’s warm and a tad humid as it flashes very fast. Small sections are a must. No issues with high spots if you take your time and wipe overlapping area.

The gloss was outstanding.

Nice job, nice car, nice garage. What's under cover?
