2015 Mazda 6 GT ~ New Car Detail & Prep ~ Optimum Gloss Coat

Don't apologize or make any excuses for that tape job! It's very good and is how you should do it. My only question is the 2 strips bisecting both the hood and the trunklid. Were there character lines or ridges you were protecting?

Spectacular job considering it was your first time with a machine buffer!

Wow, thanks fellas…. lots of positive feed back. :)

To be honest, I honestly can't wait to sale this place next year and finally buy a house with a full size garage!

You can quote me now…. that is when I'll start my own mobile detailing business and will also work from home.

I just hate the fact that I have to tarp up my car port just to keep the elements out.…lmao.

Puckman, thank you…. and to answer you're question, I taped the hood and trunk down the center to give me an idea of where to stop and begin when I was doing section passes on them.

Since I never done this before, I felt it necessary at first to have some sort of a line to go off of.

After the first couple of passes on the hood I eventually took it off….same with the trunk lid.

next time I probably won't use them.
