Hi, I’m new to this forum. Is there any info on how to remove scratches from the shiny plastic used on the trunk deck lids of the new S550 Mustangs?

I’ve had my car for about a year now and I’m noticing some fine scratches and some marks from road film and me trying to dust it and keep it clean.

I’ve tried searching the site for articles on plastic care, but I don’t think this is the same as the plastics used for the rockers and chin splitters.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Any favorite polish and pad combo? This section I will do by hand.

I’m just a little nervous, as this plastic seems a bit “softer” then the headlights and taillight plastic. I’ve had some ugly scratches on the black in the taillights that have been there from the day I purchased it. Most likely came from the wash from the dealer.

Speaking of taillights, are there any tools that one can use to get in between the dividers on the lights?
