Paint Type: Most Subaru's have extremely soft clearcoats, but this one was actually not that bad at all.

POLISHING: The prototype polish Nick had me using was incredible. It cleaned up really nice, amazing working time, and the wipe off was the easiest I've ever had. This was a fine cut polish by the way. My favorite light polish as of right now, keep an eye out in the near future

Ready for Paint Coating:

Tip: put coating on the outer edges of the Lake Country Coating Applicator, this way the edges do not roll under while applying

How was the application process did you feel it was hard in terms of not having any high spots? Haven't tried a coating on any vehicles yet and was reading this Blackfire coating was a pretty user friendly product to introduce the world of coatings. I'd really like to give it a shot has winter is coming

It was extremely easy to apply and remove. I shot this quick video showing how easily it wipes off. The coating had been setting up for several minutes before I wiped it off

I have used the coating a couple of times and liked it. What is the shelf life of a opened bottle? I tried to use it again this sunday, after sitting a couple months in my bedroom closet, and it was not acting right.

I have used the coating a couple of times and liked it. What is the shelf life of a opened bottle? I tried to use it again this sunday, after sitting a couple months in my bedroom closet, and it was not acting right.

BLACKFIRE will harden when exposed to air. Just make sure the bottle is closed completely and keep it in room temperatures. If it's still in liquid form, you should be fine. Work it in small sections and adjust your wipe off depending on how quick the coating is flashing.

Ha! I wish that Subie was mine. That car belongs to one of my friends. I plan on owning a Subie myself one of these days as well. Gotta love that turbo AWD feeling :xyxthumbs:

Whats the average longevity of this coating?

Lasts up to 2 years - I personally think it will last longer than that
