New client. Has been wanting me to do one of his vehicles for a while, but thought he’d be able to do so himself…he finally broke down and got this sledgehammer scheduled with me.

The ‘details’:

Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner.
Adam’s eco wheel cleaner.
Hyde’s rust prevention serum on rotors.
McKee’s37 iron remover.
Adam’s shampoo. (Ultra foam)
Master blaster to dry.
DelFesko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Flex 3401, pixie, Rupes iBrid.
Griot’s Fast Correcting, Correcting, Perfecting Creams.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte
22ple VM1 on wheels/calipers.
Ranger QuickJack.
GYEON Tire.
McKee’s37 quick interior detailer.
Metro vacuum.
Adam’s glass cleaner.

Thanks for looking!

Glossy!

A rare coupe, looks AMAZING! Not sure he would've gotten the same results had he tackled this himself! Not only do you have to have the technique down but also the products to knock out that hard German paint

Thanks guys!!

Klasse...appreciate it, and it was hard! Damn!

Lookin' good there, Liver Lips!!

:dblthumb2:

Great results. The owner needs to paint the rotor “hats”.

Nice work. Did you do the whole car with fast correcting cream, correcting cream and then perfecting cream?

Thanks everyone!

John, I agree. Or MB should have powdered/painted them from the factory.

Snoop, indeed I did. Wish I didn't have to! lol

Thanks LED!!

As always, beautiful results.

Questions

I recently detailed a similar Mercedes-Benz with light or shallow swirls like I see in your pictures. If found the paint to be on the hard side of the soft paint/hard paint spectrum.

What is your take on the paint in this MB?

Also - I have an older Defelsko Paint Thickness Gauge, I love it because it's incredibly accurate and easy to calibrate plus all the other cool features it offers that I outlined here,

Which model of Defelsko do you have?

:)

Thanks Mike...and I know you and the Mrs. are Benz fans!

I found it to be as you said, on the hard side. Took the Griot's trio (plus some wool then foam) to get it where I wanted/it needed to be.

They make some superb PTG's. I have the positector 200 series standard gauge. It does all I could ask for, specifically read any substrate that I come across.
