This is the best method I’ve tried yet.
One of my recent details I skipped a step and paid for it. Made the rest of the process very frustrating.

A one-step will most likely be used.
Fielder’s choice.
Anyone care to say what they would polish the vehicle with?

TW Hybrid Solutions and LC Orange Light Cut pads for the win!

I’d forgotten how smooth and slippery this polish is. Perfect for this vehicle.
Topping it with their Ceramic Coat now.

Final Thoughts: Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish & Wax and the Ceramic Coat spray was a good choice.
I did the door jambs with the Ceramic Detail Spray. My good friend tells me to manage my expectations and to use appropriate products for each vehicle and customer requests.

Thanks for reading.

Going to be the best looking vehicle in the fleet! Nice work...nice polishers too!!

Nicely done. Ford Transit vans (Race Red) are the bane of my existence but when ya have access to a fleet of them for testing stuff, gotta take what you can get. Nice flat panels though (for the most part). What did you use on the 800sq ft of plastic trim Ford slaps on these things?

On faded trim, TACsystem Moonlight.
For this trim, Optimum Poly Seal.
Also CarPro PERL on the weather stripping around the windows.

I’ll put Moonlight in the Pepsi Challenge any day of the week when it comes to faded trim. A wee-bit too toxic for my head yesterday on the Transit. I’ll use a painter’s mask next application.

I have 3 new Transits coming in this month...and a bottle of Moonlight at home. I shall use it on the trim, thanks for the tip!

How old is your moon light budget? Craig yours too (shelflife)?

I’m near the bottom of the first bottle, which is over a year old. The second unopened one was purchased earlier this year. It’s very fluid, with no solidified matter inside. I saw that photo that someone posted awhile back, in which theirs solidified while in storage.

For coating a car, One Step Master is a much speedier application process. If you want to practice applying a high siO2 coating, Moonlight is for you. It has the consistency of molasses in winter. A little goes a long way. High spots are easily removed, even days or weeks later. A detail spray or light hand-polish rub.

I believe I got mine around June of 2019, prior to our road trip in a rented car that I wanted to test it on. Last used it in July 2020 on roof of new work van. Still there doing OK on top of that vehicle, 6k miles later. I'm quite impressed, actually.

If a chance could you look at it and see if still OK?

Looks fine, no crystals, nothing unusual. I'll bring it to work today and put it on someone's hood to see if anything unusual in application.

Edit: did a quick prep wipe of a truck hood, Moonlight applied as normal and seemed to behave as normal so I guess it's still good.
