Aubergine Purple
2,616 miles
V6/6 speed manual
416HP/332TQ

Client recently picked this up to add to his collection of Aubergine Lotuses. (He has 3!!, loves this color) Paint had a lot of water spots and typical swirls. Vehicle is going to get some vinyl graphics so it was requested that just a paint correction be performed and no ceramic coating at this time.

The ‘details’:

Adam’s shampoo, tire & rubber, and wheel cleaner.
McKee’s37 APC.
Medium clay mitt.
McKee’s37 hydro blue.
Master Blaster to dry.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scangrip lighting.
Flex 3401, XCE 8, pixie, Rupes iBrid.
LC and other pads.
Griot’s FCC and Perfecting Creams.
Optimum panel wipe.
McKee’s37 hi def paint sealant.
GYEON tire.
Metro vacuum.
McKee’s37 leather lotion.
Graphene interior detailer.
Auto finesse glass cleaner.

Thanks for looking!

Had to post some sun shots, this color is crazy! And the sun came out and cooperated!

Looks beautiful! Nice work! That's a great color.

I love how Lotus was able to use the same tail light assembly on 3/4 different models over a 20 year period

Thank you very much for the pictures when the sun came out because to date I have to say that is the greatest color you have detailed, comma well that isn't to you do a mamba green Porsche

Holy crap!

That metallic jumps right out and smacks you in the face Frank Rizzo style!!

Awesome stuff, Scotty! :props:

Wow, amazing car and your usual amazing job!

That paint thickness reading would have freaked me the hell out

Thanks for the comments everyone! I was happy when the sun peeked out today and I was able to grab some sun shots!!

Paint readings: Car is all carbon fiber and fiberglass, and from what I understand Lotus attempts every weight saving trick they can...and that includes less paint.

WOW!

Wow Beautiful little car. I remember trying to get into an earlier version and boy it was hard. I am assuming you had some struggles with this model!...LOL Either way, as always incredible work!

^^^This one wasn't too bad. His Elise on the other hand...geez!

I worked at a Lotus dealership before I moved to Chicago and I can honestly say that an Exige/Elise can be a little tricky to get in and out of but once you master the technique it's pretty easy.
