Client recently built/ordered and took delivery of this beast! The dealer prep was horrendous. Worst I have seen to date. Car was full of swirls and holograms. Hologram city.
This was the Paradise detail: Take me down to the Paradise city, where the car is cool and the paint is sh!tty.

The ‘details’:
Adam’s shampoo, tire&rubber and eco wheel cleaner.
McKee’s37 iron remover.
Medium clay mitt.
McKee’s37 Si02 hydro blue.
Master blaster to dry.
Scangrip lighting.
DeFelsko PTG.
Flex machines/Rupes iBrid.
LC pads.
Griot’s FCC and Perfecting creams.
Optimum panel wipe.
Adam’s advanced graphene coating.
GYEON tire.
Metro vacuum.
Autofinesse glass cleaner.
Graphene interior detailer.

Scott...nice GNR reset early in the 1st post

Now although it's black on black on black, that yellow stitching, top of shiftknob, seatbelts and tach in yellow ties in w/ those calipers, tip of the cap to the owner

All that being said, the owner needs to show this post to the owner of THAT dealership, that's 100% bullsh!t right thereAs a Porsche fan boy I'm very offended by what they did to that 992

I agree with Klasse Act, the dealer needs a woopin'. Can't believe they would let the car leave their lot like that.

Thanks guys. Worst one I've seen...and I agree, prep was horrible and unacceptable. Just piss poor.

I thought of the GNR reference while I was doing it and thought it was funny...as well as fitting!

The spec on it was right on. Was very well done!

LOL Budget! Like so many people thing and do!
 
After you said it was the worst you’ve seen from a dealer, my expectations for the paint condition were low but holy hell! That is beyond unacceptable. I couldn’t imagine spending the money that a new GT3 retails at, and receiving a car with “average owner 100k mile paint”. If I were the owner I’d send this to the owner and also managers of that dealer. Some training is in order.

You have it looking perfect now though. Lottery vehicle right there (mine would be paint to sample). :D

Given the current scarcity of GT3 allocations it's likely that the "out the door" pricing included a healthy "Market Adjustment" or "Additional Dealer Markup" adding a bit more insult to injury

I believe that the owner told you that no one worked this car over except the dealer-- BUT i just cant really believe the a "premium " dealership ( Porsche) would allow a new vehicle to be worked on by folks with this skillset ( lack of any skill really ) and them give it to a customer in that horrendous shape --I can maybe believe if it was a used car he was buying , but not new-- totally unimaginable!!!!!!!!

Anyways-- the car look fantastic now, great job as usual Scott.

I see that you usually show us the paint thickness prior to the correction, do you ever check them out of curiosity to see what the difference after polishing? And after you put the coating on to see what that adds to it?
 
WOW! So much for high end car dealerships NOT having hack detailers. Solid recovery though. Very nice work!

Black and BEAUTIFUL! IMO Black is the only color for me when it comes to a Porsche. And to make it even a better Porsche GT3 it's a TRADITIONAL MANUAL! As always beautiful work and that ride is simply MARVELOUS!

It's INSANE to get a car like that from the dealer. I hope he gets reimbursed by them for your services!

What about Guards Red, or Irish Green? :D
 
I'm a big fan of the dark greens myself
Corvette had a nice green they called "Bowling Green "
