Figured I would check out the new Tacoma yesterday. Silver TRD OFF ROAD with the upper I force engine. Drive was impressive. That engine just gets it. Torque galore. Interior was equally impressive. About everything you would want or need in a truck. Overall, I walked away with a very positive impression. Well done, Toyota.

I was reading only a couple of days ago that Toyota Australia doesn't have any plans to bring the LandCruiser FJ over here. Latest info is that it is going to have a motor related to 2.4 in the Tacoma, maybe not as powerful, but a hybrid was on the cards. I hope they're just being a bit cagey, trying to see how outraged we get. I'm planning on calling in at the local Toyota dealer to see if they've heard anything.

They should bring the Tacoma here as well, the Hilux we get, while still popular, doesn't really cut it anymore, not in comparison to the Tacoma.

I found this FJ concept online, someone's impression of what is possible, if they did this, they would have a winner on their hands, IMO.

Nice, we should be getting them here soon, but as the LandCruiser Prado, and only in diesel hybrid, I also don't know if we're getting the round or rectangular headlights, or both. I've heard they'll be around $90k or higher over here.

I have a friend who's very interested, his current Prado is near 10 years old, and has over 300,000km on it. He says if the wait is too long, he may pay the extra for the full size LandCruiser 300, but he's a little worried after hearing about the Tundra engine recall over there, the 300 we have here uses the same engine, but we don't know if it's sourced from the same factory.
