I don't know what to say...it's just so perfect!
You guys are soo good and what an awesome write-up.
Thanks!
Thank you!
WOW! Absolutely unbelievable! Words can't describe it. I would be on cloud nine if I were the owner. You did an absolutely outstanding job (although I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that). What a thing of beauty! You rock! :dblthumb2:
:urtheman:
BTW, what is DP spray sealant? I can't find what that is or who carries it. You didn't mean Final Gloss did you?
You are too kind! Thank you.
I can't find the Spray Sealant either. I guess it is discontinued. I had it for a few years from an early order from Autogeek. Worked great, once I used it. It felt very similar to Chemical Guy's Blitz, both which I find superior to Blackfire Spray Sealant.
This is probably my all time favorite Show n' Shine write up and worth mentioning again, Top Notch work guys! You set the bar high with this one! :dblthumb2:
I am humbled, Rasky! Thanks!
You have done the finest detailing description I have ever read. Let alone the work you did to bring an already beautiful car up to it's absolutely finest level.
This is the post I will have my friends read when I try to explain to them why I detail my cars.
I just wish I had your skills (and your back).
I am beyond humbled! The writeup took almost 6 months to finish as we kept going back and adding pictures. I was afraid it would be impossible to post. I am happy to find you were able to read through the entire thing, and enjoy it so!
Regarding my back, the jury is out on that one

The hour I just spent reading this thread brought me to a realization. We really need to get a detailing event together here in Michigan either in the spring or summer next year!
Not sure how many other pros or serious enthusiasts from the state are on here, but if we can get a few of us together to sponsor a meet/show and maybe attract a vendor and/or product manufacturer to offer some support as well, it could be a great time.
For all the notable automotive events -- especially in the Detroit and Grand Rapids areas -- that take place every year, I've never really seen that much presence from the appearance care industry. I'd love to see that change, as I'm sure there are a lot of folks out there that would take advantage of classes/seminars and product demonstrations, shows emphasizing detailed vehicles, etc.
Anyone else agree?
Thanks for spending the time to read! :xyxthumbs:
I definitely agree on increasing awareness here in the area! We held a "Detail Day" last year in fall on how to properly clean a vehicle in Winter and had about 15 people turn up, mostly from Oakland County. It was a very cold day for the season, and we didn't advertise much on purpose. But I think there is definitely potential to put on a larger event with a broader scope. There are 2 other people who we consider detailers in the area. Both are very good and have quite a repertoire. Jason from Deep Gloss and Shawn from Superior Detailing. I'm sure they would also be down for something.
Even if for no other reason than to talk detailing, we should get together regardless of an event
