303 Graphine review!

Because it's kinda cold right now not sure when the next wash will be but it's going to be done through the drive-thru wash unless we get a mid-winter thaw. Maybe I can snap some pics of the side panels when the road is wet. Something to keep in mind is that it's going on 3 months old and it's been hit with rain and now snow/salt lately.

I know we've got a couple others in this thread that are using the 303 graphene, maybe they can post up some pics

Can you just spray some water on it after a wash? From a spray bottle?

Sure but would that be legit

It can’t be much less legit than dirty water from the ground splattered on the side panels. Just note what you used and the reader can determine if it’s legit for their knowledge interest.

It also performs a basis of reference. Regardless of whether it's pouring rain or a shot from a spray bottle, there will be some commonality in how the water behaves on the surface.

We'll see when I get back to the shop, nickle sized snowflakes flying right now, low visibility

It's been snowing for half the day, here's a beading shot. Sorry, 5:24 CST and snowing right now so a little dark.

I'm not sure what what the beading would've looked like on a fresh panel from a misting sprayer but here's a "natrual" look of huge snowflakes, heavy snow came down.

Coming from CanCoat at 3 months with periodic Uber SiO2 rinseless washes, I’m not sure I’m that impressed by the beading. But beading only gives a small part of the story. At least it is still beading consistently though I would have hoped more of the water had left the nearly vertical surfaces.

This spring my current plan is to do a couple coats of CQuartz UK 3.0 with a coat of CQuartz SIC, primarily because the combo should leave an INCREDIBLY slick surface.

Didn’t you coat it with in last year with Tacs. If so and it maybe being from same family as CqUk3.....

I feel it’s masking your coating and not in a good way. Low contact angle inconsistent beads. If this is suppose to last a year I feel the beading should be tighter and taller.....

That being said it is true that beading isn’t everything but it looks with as flat as it lays...... question how does the beading run off the car at say 30-40.... that’s a better indicator of self cleaning...

I think the car is still dirty and all I take from the picture is that 303 protection still exists... unless that’s dirty UK or TAC that is causing the beads. I don’t mean this takeaway in a negative way. Knowing that something is still there after 3 months of Illinois winter is good to know.

Will be interested how water looks right a next wash.
