Way back in August I sent 5 bucks to 303 Products for a sample package. I forgot all about until last week when I noticed the check in Quicken as being cashed. I contacted 303 and they promptly sent me the sample package.

In the box was a pamplet about spraying 303 on tires and how it is great as a protectant for tires. It states it makes the tires look new and lasts for weeks.

I have 303 but have never thought to use it on the tires. Has anyone else done this? What are the results?

I use it on the tires and it leaves a clean look (matte finish) and seems to absorb into the tire so no run off. Also like that it has UV protectant in it so hopefully my tires won't weather to badly in the Oklahoma sun. Mike...

Never used it. I think it should work just fine, just let it dry before driving. Durability through heavy rains might be an issue though.

IVE USED IT HERE IN THE EAST..........very nice matte finish and last pretty long:)

I use it on our cars and agree with the others here.......nice finish, no sling, and good UV protection. The downside? A bit expensive compared to other tire products.

Well I have to say that I am always learning on this forum, now I know that I can use my leftover 303 for my tires. I do not like it as a dressing on my dashboard.

303 lasts two plus weeks on both of my cars (different tire brands) as long as there is no rain. After a rain the look is lost and should be reapplied with a quick tire swipe.

What do you not like about it on your dash?

For some reason ( and it's probably ME) it causes such bad out gasses on both my cars. And not only the dashboards but on the side windows, I just can't figure it out.

I spray it liberally on my boat trailer tires & let it soak in. I usually get 3-4 launches & subsequent Rinsedown of trailer when we get home before I have to apply more. I like a little more shine on my truck tires so I go with 2 coats of PERL.

Have cleaned the surfaces prior to application? I only ask because others have had the outgassing issues and maybe a deep cleaning will help?

I assume other products don't do this for you?

I've started using Sonax dash cleaner and it's working quite well.

This would be the main reason for me not to use 303 on my tires. I don't mind using 303 on interior surfaces, but found it very short lived on exterior surfaces. While I never tried it on tires, I did find it never survived contact with rain when applied to rubber and plastic trim. Even in the hot summer sun it would only last a week or so.

303 makes an outstanding product!
