I have an area inside my car that is just left of the driver and just right of the passenger made of black plastic trim, it's a vertical piece. When releasing the seatbelt (even when being careful) it, the buckle, seems to hit this plastic piece and leave a mark. I know that the mark can be cleaned but want to protect that area from the buckle of the seat belt. Was thinking of a clear plastic sheet product that I could custom cut and apply. When dinged up just remove and apply another piece.
I'm not real familiar with the 3M protective sheeting but I know it's often used on exteriors to preotect from rock dings and such.
If you have used this stuff, do you think and interior application would be possible?
In other words it would not be onto fresh clean paint.
