3M Fine Cut

I'm looking to buff my wife's entire car with 3M fine cut since it has 75K miles on it and has never been polished (it's a minivan). I have 3M fine cut and PC 7424. Any recommendations on pad? White or Orange? The van is black and there are a fair amount of surface scratches from the kids and such.

You would always start with the less aggressive pad.What do you plan on using after you use the 3M .You need to follow up with another product it won't be lsp ready .And since it is black which shows everything you may want to do a test panel before you do the whole car
 
Well, I was planning on just waxing after the 3M. I'n new to this, so any suggestions you have would be good. Perhaps I don't even need the 3M fine cut and could get away with a polish?
