Hey Everyone,
I work at an Army Base in Vermont at the body shop.. my boss is looking into getting some 3M Products. Looking for some insight on them. Going to be buffing mainly silver F350s and 15passenger vans. Looking low cost per gallon, with decent outcome. After all.... its not a Maserati.

Um...you get to pick? They don't just give you an olive drab bottle of auto polish?

Ha yes, we get to pick... No olive drap on these vehicles.

I agree D151 is just about one of the most cost effective AIOs out there for general detailing.

But if you are looking for a line of products that will work in your body shop I would check out the polishes from HD. Just about everything I have tried from them was great and inexpensive. They also just released a compound and polish geared towards body shops.

I have never used anything from 3M other then their paste wax so I can't give you a opinion on their stuff.

Nothing about 3M is ever low cost LOL.

Look at HD Products by the gallon, specifically HD Speed. It's amazing!

I did this BMW with it then topped it HD Poxy. Speed is an AIO and would be perfect for your application.

This stuff goes a long way, a couple/few ouncess is plenty to do a full size vehicle.

3D Professional Detailing Products, HD car care, 3D HD

3D HD Speed 128 oz.

•3M has many excellent compound/polishing
products that are body-shop safe.

BTW:
•What type of polishers are you guys going to be
buffing with...Rotaries, DAs, or both?
-Keep in mind that many of 3M's products are
designed, and recommended for Rotary use only.
