was wondering when this was going to come out at some time (seems rotaries are getting more expensive these days)...
3M Electric Variable Speed Rotary Polisher, circular polisher, high speed polisher, professional buffer, rotary buffer

Not sure. Its another similar design to the Festool. I wonder if it will come to the US or not. They keep us from having the color system of polishes/pads and that wonderful backing plate.

It would be neat to really check it out, thats for sure.

With the right connections you can get the pads and backing plates here . The problem with the overseas products is the change in voltage and the spindle is a different thread other wise it's easy to get .

Adam is correct. It isn't hard to get the stuff here. I actually got my BP from across the drip. And at half the price of what I could get it here and that is including shipping. Shipping polishes incur steeper shipping charges and some other fee I forget what it's called.

I think the pads and backing plates are better to have then any of the polishes or even the machines . The 3m backing plate and the 5" ultrafina pads are great .

Ya I love that packing plate. I tried the white one that they have here at AG and while it works it isnt nearly like the 3m one. I wouldnt trade that bp for anything.

I actually have never ordered the polishes from overseas but I thought about it and saw how much extra it was going to be with the extra fees

Only BP that comes close to the 3M one is the Megs ones .

What's the P/N on that BP? I've wondered about giving some of the Euro products out from time to time.

FWIW, the power plug on that rotary in the original post suggests it is for US-spec power, it's a standard NEMA 1-15.

That thing looks like it would be a bull of a machine like a Milwaukee polisher.

Oh yes, I know. I use the backing plates and pads / fast cut+, Extra fine & Ultrafina SE.

Its just a pain to have to wait over a week for the stuff to arrive when I get it next day with AG :D

Ya Dana gave me the heads up on that bp. I have it aswell for my 6.5 pads but have since moved to 5.5.

I have an old Milwaukee and they both seem to have a similar design. They both have a similar weight too.

It even has the classis Milwaukee looking rubber bumper on top, makes me wonder if Milwaukee doesn't make it for 3M.:dunno:

Nice!

Anyone know where I could purchase their color coded polish system from?
