4" backing plates works great.

I just received my new 3piece backing plate for the flex with some 5" pads. Man what a difference between these and the 6 1/2" ones. Makes the 3401 much easier to use on curved panels.
I should of got this set up sooner.

The 5" LC Hybrid pads on the 4" BP is lovely combination. My favorite so far.

I actually sold the flex right after I got the backing plate and bought the rupes. I love the rupes so much better.
