I don't think I can stress the importance of these enough.
There's just so many curves areas of a vehicle where these work and fit so much easier than the 5.5 inch pads.
My first step of paint correction or just polishing starts off with my 4 inch pad.
I hit all those areas that the 5.5 won't fit or is too large and will splatter polish everywhere before I change up to my 5.5 pad and finish off the job.
Here's some example areas of what I'm working on...
Back of the trunk...more control with the 4 inch pad to work around the lights and emblems (IMO)
And the top of the rear bumper
Here's an obvious...
5.5 would be a real messy pain on these curves...
Same with front bumper...
And a perfect 4 inch panel before it slopes down...
