45th Anniversary Camaro - Rejuvenated and Coated

Very nice job. How would you rate the clear coat on this car? Easy to cut through? Also, how long did it take you to complete this job?

The clear on this car (and many Chevys) was moderately hard, but still very manageable.

Testing was critical, as I was able to produce better cut and finish with M205 on a MF finishing disc in this case than I was with HD Adapt and a foam polishing pad.

This job was approximately 8-9 hours of work from start to finish.

It's well known you do amazing works, and you did it again! Amazing results my friend, much impressed here.

Looks a completely different car.

Thanks for sharing,

Kind Regards.

Thank you sir!

Looks great Zach! I've learned a lot from your posts here and your blog. My Focus has metal flake (Tuxedo Black) paint. I found the metal flake made it hard to see the swirls in the garage. Any tips as far as lights/ lighting?
Glad you're finding these posts helpful!

Metallic paint is certainly more difficult to spot defects. Search for my threads on my "DIY LED work light" and also my thread on "how to spot micro marring on metallic paint". That should help you out.

Love the results. Awesome job.

Thanks!

 They are helpful, I made an LED work light based off that thread and didn't even realize it was your thread  . It did work well but I still had a difficult time finding the defects. I'm sure I'll get better at working with it next time.
