We are indeed a very rare breed and obsess over the our vehicles. While within our group we may appear to be normal we leave the rest of the world scratching their heads wondering what we've been smoking lately. 
A large majority of the population knows only of drive through car washes and the products available through retailers like Wal-Mart and Target. This group is very satisfied with a clean finish and by throwing on a coat of Turtle Wax or another over the counter product leaves them smiling.
Look on their shelf and add up the number of products and the amount they've spent then do the same in any one of our garages or shed. They've probably spent $100.00 tops yet most of us are in this for $3000 to $4000 or more!
Swirls? Marring? Holograms? These terms are literally a foreign language to them yet we agonize over the tinniest of imperfection on our daily driver. So you tell me, which group has a better perspective on life......
