If I had 5 mill burning a hole in my pocket I would do the same lol :D . Ever heard a 427 side oiler, wow, worth the price of admission alone!
 
Yep, just watched that too:D I told my wife when the bidding started that I would be surprised if it didn't go for 5 million! WOW! THAT my friends, is the king of kings, rarest of rare, best of the best. One of a kind, twin supercharged 427 side oiler motor. 0-60 in 3 seconds.....40+ years ago!! Awesome:righton: Man, I loved the color of it.....very nice blue.


Unfortunately poor Carroll isn't aging as well as the Cobra:(

I KNOW! Did you hear that thing idling when they were pulling it off the stage?? WOW!
 
the car truly has an interesting history also. One of two made, the other for Bill Cosby. Cosby returned it after one drive. The next owner drive his off a cliff and died. It was rebuilt and placed in a museum outside the US, but has no collector value. Yet this one fetches 5 million.

No, I didn't watch it, didn't even know BJ was on. I heard the motors in real life, what freaking sound! I think Roush offers modern version of the 427.

OOOOOH I missed that one! :( What in the world would possess Bill Cosby to return that car after one drive??? I think all those Jello-Puddings went to his brain! :confused:

Too much power. He had a song called "200 mph" or something like that. I guess he did 200mph, scared him so much he sold it!

I missed it cause for the last few days all I hear is
Her: Your watching this again, can we watch something else
Me: I'll just got up stair and watch it then
Her: I was hoping we could watch something togther

When I first found out I was very surprised to see that Bill Cosby actually has a large car collection. He has a home here in MA and sometimes the garage that cares for his cars brings them to some local car shows at the Transportation Museum.

Hilarious.....I get the same thing! After 14 yrs. you'll go to the bedroom to watch.....not a problem:righton:

I never would have guessed that Bill Cosby had a collection. That's cool that you get to see some of his cars at the local shows. :) You know who's garage I would love to have a play date in... Jay Leno. That guy has an insane collection! I love the ones he has that run on steam engines. They're so cool. lol

Man, that IS a GLOBAL problem, Ill hear it all the time to. and that "something together" isnt exactly Top gear or Drive.

I don't know how this happens to so many men. :confused: My husband is the king in my house. He does whatever he wants to and I'm the one that has to go to the other room. hmmmmmm I think I must have skipped school that day when they taught how to get your husbands to watch tv in the other room. :confused:

I would agree with Gary that I would expect more for that amount of money but boy is that an awesome car or what!!

ForidaNative, sounds like your quite the gall babe. My wife is some what like you, she treat me like a "king" at home and I RULE THE TV!! Yea baby yea...oh exept her Latin soaps, I can't interup those. She lets me do what ever want as long as she gets her dayly dose of Latin soaps hahahaha.
