In mid-July of this year I got together with a fellow Autogeek (pun intended), and we polished his 2007 Mustang using an assortment of Lake Country pads and Wolfgang polishes. To seal the paint we opted for Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0. Jeff's Mustang is a daily driver and because he's kind enough to let his wife park in the garage next to his weekend toy, his Mustang sits outside most of the time.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant Creates a Wet, Shimmering Shine on Blue

Upon approaching Jeff to let me polish and seal his bright blue Mustang, his only request was that I use a quality wax or sealant that will not only bring out the maximum shine and clarity of his paint, but will also keep it protected for months to come. The obvious choice was Wolfgang because it accomplishes all of the above and is a pleasure to work with.

Jeff's Mustang in mid-July right after being polished with Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Wolfgang Finishing Glaze and sealed with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0.

While parked at work today I happened to grab a couple photos of the water beading right after a mid-afternoon rain storm.

Over five months after initial application and the only routine maintenance being performed is a weekly wash with Detailer's Pro Series Auto Bath, Jeff's Mustang still beads water just as much as it did the week after being sealed with Wolfgang.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 is one of the better known paint sealants and for good reason - it protects and beautifies all painted surfaces to provide months of worry-free paint protection and a shine that used to be exclusive to carnauba waxes. :dblthumb2:

Now that I've seen this I have to use it lol. Its been sitting around for a while and I used the glaze last time I polished but I didn't think to use the sealant. That beading looks awesome

Nice. I just put two coats of WGDGPS on mine (a day apart)

Wow, glad I bought a bottle during the 12 days of Christmas sale!! Looking forward to using it this spring!

Nick ...quick question and off topic from the sealant. What did you use on the rims? I have a Mustang too, but my rims never looked like that after working on them. I'm missing something. Thanks!

looks nice Nick! Question, whats the correct order to add a coat of Fuzion in the process? Before of after the sealant?

I use Fuzion after the sealant has cured and been removed. I figure the wax will protect the sealant.

After applying and removing the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, you can apply a carnauba wax, like Fuzion, 12 hours later. The Fuzion will not only increase the protection but it will also bring out even more gloss and depth to the paint. :props:

Great results, and great review. I actually just picked up some of the WGDGPS when I ordered my 7424, and have been waiting for the time to polish out my Sunset Orange Metallic WS.6, and try it out. This makes me want to do it even more.

Thanks for the update Nick. Glad to see WGDGPS is still holding up excellently.:props:

The two coats I applied back in August on my truck are still beading really well, and I hope they still will be come spring.

For your consideration:

Nice update, but "your report" would be much more valid if compared to other products. Not sure what you wanted to prove but it would of been much more relevant if there was a triple blind comparison to something else. Perhaps a 30/30/30 of Wolfgang, Turtle Wax and Nothing. If Wolfgang is so great the 30/30/30 would speak to its merrits..

Promoting products is nice, but to enhance creditably of the products and profession a more scientific approach is needed; it only helps us all.

In no part of this thread did I make any comparison of the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant to any other product. If I made a statement claiming that Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant was more durable than X or Y product yet failed to do a comparison, then your observation of my report would be more substantial. However, the point of this thread was to show that even after 5 months, the product is still holding up exceptionally well. Nothing more, nothing less, and no comparison to any other product was made to affect the validity of this thread. The sole point of this thread was to provide more information about a popular product that's inquired about often. :props:

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm always looking for ways to improve upon the threads that I create. :xyxthumbs:

Hey Nick, it has been a while but good to see you are the man on this forum, nice work!!

Very well presented report, Nick. :props:

For those (including me at times) that don't always appreciate a product's "beading" characteristics as going hand-in-hand with its durability...

Perhaps a photo of WDGPS' heat resistance capability may help to otherwise reinforce its durability...Let alone it living up to, as advertised, in its product description and naming...Deep Gloss....Just saying.

HAHA yep I have those wheels on the Grand Marquis and when I use the glaze they look great!

I topped the 3.0 with fuzion before and stripped everything back down because it didn't look good. I personally wouldn't suggest anyone to top those 2 together.

I am a fan. That is what has been on my Shelby for a year now. I put a coat on last fall followed by Pinnacle SSII, repeated same in spring. This fall I put just WGDGPS. Actually beads better than the combo. Almost like water is scared of it. Impressive.

Will remain a mainstay in my arsenal.

Nick thank you for demonstrating its durability.

Its great stuff, and very easy to apply and remove as well.

Topped with Fuzion its the cats meow!

Hey Bacon

All I can add is that I have tried just about EVERY OTC product there is. Meguiar's, Mothers, Turtle Wax and on and on. None of them have come close to WDGPS 3.0 in any way, period. Ease of use is the first thing. After application and a 30-40 minute set up, it comes of so easy it's hard to believe. The shine is outstanding on a polished vehicle, especially black. My Vette and Harley looked wet after application. Now as far as durability, it lasts way longer than ANY other OTC products I have used.

I can't speak of how well it compares to other quality sealants like Blackfire, Menzerna etc.. but OTC products can't touch it. Quite honestly I have no reason to compare it because I am completely satisfied with WDGPS. On your next order, get a free sample and try it for yourself is all I can say. If you don't like it then no harm done. :dblthumb2:
